Currentcontrolisacommonfeatureinpowerelectronicsvoltagesourceconvertersconnectedtothegrid.Inthisscenariofrequencydriftscanentailabiglossinperformanceofthesecontrollers,signi?-cantlyworseningthequalityofthepowerdeliveredtothegrid.ThisarticlefocusesonthestudyandimplementationofcurrentcontrolalgorithmsforDC–ACvoltagesourceconverters(VSCs)thatareableofbothreducingtheharmoniccontentsofthegridcurrentandmaintainingtheselectivityofthecurrentcontrolagainstfrequencydrifts,sothatthestabilityofthesystemispreserved.Twotypesofcurrentcon-troltechniquesareinvestigatedhere,namely,resonantandrepetitivecontrollers.Athoroughstudyofalternativeimplementationstructuresiscarriedoutwhilstspellingoutthefrequency-adaptivealgorithmineachcase.Besides,basicguidelinesfortheirsoftwareimplementationaregivenandthecomputationalloadforeachalternativeisanalyzed.

1.Introduction
CurrentcontrolforVSCsisofparamountimportanceintoday’sapplicationofpowerelectronicsinelectricpowersystem.Someoftheseapplicationsinclude:trackingofgridcurrentharmonics,rejectionofgridvoltageharmonics,operationinislandedsystemslikelytosuffergridfrequencyvariations,microgridsforoperationasgridgeneratororgridtracker,connectionofenergystoragesys-temstothegrid,etc.Asfortheselatterapplications,itismandatorytoensurethepowersupplyoftheauxiliarysystemsirrespec-tiveofthepossiblegridperturbations.Noticeably,frequencydriftsmaytakeplaceinweakgrids,seriouslyaffectingthecontroller’s

Amongtheexistingtechniquesforimplementingthecurrentcontrolforharmoniccompensation,twoofthemostcommonlyusedareresonantandrepetitivecontrollers.
TheGeneralizedIntegrator(GI)[1]wasoneofthe?rstproposalsofresonantcontrol.AsingleGIwascapableofcompensatingbothpositiveandnegativesequencesandseveralresonantcontrollerscouldbeplacedinparalleltotacklemultipleharmonics.ThisGIderivedinthewell-knownSecondOrderGeneralizedIntegrator(SOGI).
TheSOGIintroducesanin?nitegainattheresonantfrequencywhichcanmaketheclosed-loopsystemunstableasitdoesnotmakeanycontrolinthephaselagintroduced.Thus,theadditionofalead-lagnetworktotheoriginalSOGIwasproposedintheliteratureinordertocontrolthephaseshiftnearbytheresonantfrequency[2,3].Inthisarticle,thistechniquereceivesthenameofSecondOrderGeneralizedIntegratorwithlead-lagnetwork(SOGI-LLN).Anothertechniqueofresonantcontrolistheso-calledAdaptiveFeedforwardCancelation(AFC).AdiscretetimeAFCwasdesignedtocontroltheoutputvoltageofafull-bridgeDC–ACinverterin[4]followingtheloop-shapingapproachpresentedin[5].
